In the long history of art, filmmaking is a newcomer.  Like most art, the motion picture provides images.  As evocative today as the cave drawing was for our distant ancestors, film’s advantage is that it can string the images together, twenty four per second.  Filmmakers were asked to submit an image from their motion picture work.  The images that are presented in this exhibition stand alone, out of the serial motion context, as singular works of art.
