Good Will Prevail
Nancy Fleming loves thrift stores, flea markets and yard sales!
She was chosen to exhibit at ArtPrize in Grand Rapids, MI, making a complete living room with ‘upscaled handicrafts’ (from crocheted potholders to plastic canvas Kleenex box covers) - She deconstructed, reconstructed, sewed, latched, mosaiced, and assembled her installation Good Will Prevail: Taking what might be considered trivial or mundane individual items she gave them new life in a field of color, pattern and texture. It’s about home, craft, tradition, and family.
That installation has been added to, altered, and exhibited a few times, and for Axle, new pieces were made to specially fit the space,Including the cats!
