Kathamann has been collecting metal for 20 years from roadsides, the city dump, empty lots and Santa Fe's Arroyo Chamiso from Calle Conejo to Museum Hill.

She welds, stacks and hangs her harvest into metal sculpture.  Axle Contemporary provides a structure for the chaotic results of her expression. Kathamann's primitive spontaneous configurations fill the windows and project out into public space through the gallery's back door.  Her 3-D unexpected abstract forms create a diverse, humorous atmosphere beyond any logical progression.
