These are large-format exterior wheatpaste exhibitions that are custom-designed by the artist to use the exterior aluminum surface of the mobile artspace as the base for the inkjet printed and wheat-pasted exhibitions. These exhibition usually take place in winter and spring. Artists may send proposals to the email below.
New Media Art
Axle often presents a work of New Media Art in conjunction with the Currents New Media Festival in June. More information on CURRENTS Festival of New Media Art here. Artists may send proposals to the email below.
We occasionally host works of Performance Art, in or adjacent to the mobile artspace, often in the Santa Fe Railyard. These exhibitions usually take place in Summer. Artists may send proposals to the email below.
Social Engagement Projects
These are mostly created by Axle's co-curators/artist-directors.
These exhibitions are built by Axle's co-urators (or occasional guest curators) around specific themes. Occasionally these are deleted from calls-for-entries, released through e-mail, local press, Axle's website and social media. These exhibitions usually take place in the summer.
