This event engages gifting, barter, and just plain fun. Clothes, household items, kids' gear, books, artwork, and art supplies - typical yard sale things and more - will be available, literally, for a song, or a dance, or a poem, or a drawing, a service, for trade, or whatever- but NOT FOR MONEY!  All are invited to participate, set up their space, or just drop by to browse.

Moneyless is pretty obvious….. No Money, So where to go from there?

Lots of possibilities.  The earliest peoples shared and spread wealth through gifting. The gift, though freely given, usually contained an aspect of reciprocity. Could be another gift, could simply be an acknowledgement of “status”. Later on came bartering and trading, The moneyless yard sale contains both.

Then came the manufacturing of a universal medium, money and banking,  then further manifesting into the latest convenience, the credit card,  But for us, at The Moneyless Yard Sale, for us , this will have no relevance. Because….No Money!

Start with a playful notion of what is basically gifting.

 You might ask your buyer/recipient.....

what would you like to offer?

what do you do for work, for fun

what things are you good at ?

Everybody does have something to trade.
